Background Ideas

When thinking about a character you'd like to play:

  1. Think about what you'd like to be their shtick
  2. Determine who they are as a Pathfinder Society Agent
  3. After all that, then worry about all the character sheet choices and stuff

It's kinda hard to "mess up" a character in Pathfinder 2e and I'm always available to help workshop any concerns.

Preferred Method

The easiest method is to choose an iconic character that is ready to pick up right out of the box.

I recommend this approach as your GM.

It's a viable approach (even long-term) and significantly undercuts the analysis paralysis.

Dynamic Method

For those more familiar with TTRPGs or those wanting to take on a deeper-dive challenge:

Custom characters are very VERY fun to play. The main drawback is some extra heavy lifting up front and trying to do the calculus of what choices you think you'd want.

If you'd like some help with any part of this process, I am available to help. I can go through step by step, or simply try to help bounce ideas around.
