Some MediaWiki Context[edit | edit source]
A semi-quick aside about the fuck I'm talking about: Mediawiki has the ability to make pages about your pages.
- In this example you have a beans page, an article with a description of bean varieties, how to cook them, how to grow them, etc.
- By default, mediawiki assumes you'll have a talk:beans page.
- The "Talk" namespace should be editor's notes about what the article needs (sections to expanded, research needed, etc.)
- so talk:beans might be a message reminding me to update the section on pinto beans and to find a picture of bean soup.
- The "Talk" namespace should be editor's notes about what the article needs (sections to expanded, research needed, etc.)
- I created a custom namespace for Infodumps, so each page can have it's own in depth ramblings, if needed.
- infodump:beans would be a deep dive into bean lore and mythology, and maybe some personal anecdotes about beans.
